I So Adore the Fillmore

A walk thru the Fillmore is a walk through time.

Hello from San Francisco,

This was the music I used to soundtrack my presentation about the history of the Fillmore neighborhood at The Center which is located at 548 Fillmore.

After the earthquake in 1906 destroyed much of downtown San Francisco east of Van Ness Avenue, the Fillmore became the residential center of the city. World War II and redevelopment displaced and dispossessed thousands of households in a period of SF history that remains difficult to square with our reputation for justice, equity, and equality.

The phrase in this song ‘I so adore, walking down Fillmore’ speaks to the illustrious history this neighborhood represents in the collective tapestry of neighborhoods that make San Francisco, uniquely and unequivocally San Francisco.

See you in the music,

Patrick San Francisco
